Reiki

The human body is made up of vibrating energy; this energy emanates out from the body to form an electromagnetic field. This energy can be measured (as with an electrocardiograph [EKG] or an electroencephalograph [EEG]), it can be felt and even sensed by others. Reiki (pronounced RAY-KEY) is one way of working with the body’s energy field.  Reiki originated in Japan and is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.  It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that there is life-giving energy that flows through us and around us.  When one’s energy field is low or even blocked; which can be caused by environmental toxins, medications/substances, mental and/or emotional anguish, trauma, etc… then one is more likely to manifest physical symptoms (sickness, fatigue, pain, etc…) If it is high then our bodies are more capable of healing themselves on every level; spiritual, emotional, mental and physical.
Reiki can also be done from a distance and I offer this healing for those who are physically unable to come to my practice due to travel, physical constraints or other issues.

Reiki is not meant to replace any medical procedure or medicines prescribed by your Doctor and is a wonderful complement to all healing modalities.

I have been trained in Reiki I, II and Advanced Reiki by Karen Harrison, a licensed Reiki Master in the Tibetan/Usui lineage as well as a Karuna Reiki Master.

I have received my Master Reiki training from Donna and Conrad Jestmore who are both trained in Shinpiden (Traditional Japanese Reiki Master), Komyo Reiki Okuden and are both Usui Reiki Masters (Western Tradition).

Please contact me if you are interested in Reiki as a form of healing and relaxation; either in person or from a distance.
